It’s crafted from soft foam with removable covers that can be put into the washing machine and it’s filled with 200 multicoloured balls for hours of fun. What age is a velvet ball pit suitable for?
Designed for children who can sit up independently, typically from 9 months+. They provide a cushioned environment for developing motor skills. Adult supervision is recommended.
Are the play balls safe and non-toxic?
Absolutely. All balls are CE certified, BPA-free, and non-toxic. They are flexible enough to withstand play without cracking.
How do I clean the velvet ball pit cover?
The cover has a discreet zip for easy removal. It is washable at 30°C. We recommend air drying to keep the velvet plush.
Will the ball pit keep its shape over time?
Yes. We use high-density, reinforced foam. It is sturdy enough to support a toddler but soft for safety. It naturally regains its shape after unpacking. We have a video guide available if you need to re-dress your ball pit.
Is this suitable for sensory play?
Yes, these are excellent sensory integration toys. The tactile velvet and physical stimulation of the balls help with hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

Turnaround times for our personalised gift orders are 3-5-day business days (or as stated on the individual product information page or other published information) + delivery time.
Delivery is by courier or national carrier, who in the main provide exceptional service, however please be aware delays can occur and these are out of our control (force majure).

Refund Policy
Products Purchased From ShopStreet.ie Vendors
Under Distance Selling Regulations, if you buy on-line or by phone, your consumer rights entitle you to a full refund if you request one in writing within 14 working days of receipt. This excludes the products listed as exceptions in the small print section*.
Your vendor can offer a refund on your purchase price within 14 days of receipt of the goods.
Your vendor will issue the refund within 14 Days of receipt of the return.
Purchaser is responsible for cost of returns postage.
Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy
The process
- Contact vendor in normal working hours to be issued with returns number and appropriate returns address.
Registered Customers – Open a Support Ticket with your refund request in My Account -> Orders page. - Your vendor contact you to resolve any issues and in the case where issues are not resolved will issue this number within 2 working days by email. You may be asked for clear pictures of the packaging and product (including the SKU number) as part of the returns process from certain suppliers.
- Write returns number on the outside of the packaging (Mandatory), please use original packaging if possible and enclose original documentation received – write on the back the reason for the return (This is not mandatory). Please ensure you remove our labels from the packaging.
- Post the item to your vendor and obtain a proof of postage receipt. Sender is responsible for cost of returns postage.
- Your vendor will issue your refund within 14 days.
The small print – exceptions
It’s important that any unwanted item, unless faulty, is returned in a re-saleable condition. We’d expect this to mean that you’ve kept all original packaging and labels, and that it’s undamaged and unused.
Items purchased from UK
If you return item because you decline to pay fees due on order entry to EU we cannot refund UK shipping fee plus €10 admin charge.
Products you are unable to cancel, refund or exchange*
We cannot offer refunds or exchanges, unless faulty, on the following items:
- Products which have been personalised for you
- Products hand made to order for you
- Where a product has been specially ordered in for you (for example with custom ball colour combinations, etc), unless faulty, we’re unable to refund or offer an exchange.
- Vendors are unable to accept cancellations for these orders, unless within 24 hours of the order being placed.
- This does not affect your statutory rights.
